It overcomes the defects of kojic acid, such as the unstability to light and heat, the color variation caused by formation of complexes with matallic ions. Kojic acid dipalmitate can preserve or promote the inhibitory power of kojic acid against tyrosinase activity, TRP-1 activity, and also with the effect of delaying the melanogenesis.
